Lazy web: Easiest and fastest way to Newark airport from Manhattan - taxi or train?

Almost always the train.  It is only $12 from Penn and the transfer to the AirTrain (AirTran?) is really easy + another $4 or so. Cab is always a crap shoot with tunnel traffic.

I once got into Newark at 1am after 12+ hours of delays and flying, so I got in a cab back to my old apt in Astoria. Worst idea of all time. Total cab fare: $120. Train every time now.

I took the train. Very quick and easy but the AirTran was so slow and crowded it almost took the same amount of time...

The correct answer is Dial 7 car service. Costs $45 bucks (but you gotta tip em a bit)
