New Marketing Strategy
My brilliant idea to harness both the power of viral marketing and the echo chamber of tech blogs for evil my own good:
- Write a press release/blog post saying that Alumni Spaces has been acquired by Google/Facebook/Microsoft/whoever for some fantastic amount of money. (Alternatively: we raised a fantastic amount of money from Andreessen Horowitz/Union Square/Greylock/whoever - worked for Color.)
- Drive signups and new clients because they think we are cool enough to have been acquired/invested in at a fantasic valuation.
- ?
- Profit.
I wonder how far we could get on the “Facebook has said they do not comment on speculation in the marketplace” wave.
